Saver Abdilla
1924 -
Mr. Saver Abdilla was born in Mqabba on the 21st September 1924, son of Joseph and Josephine. His father was in business (very known in Mqabba because he had a grocer's shop right in front of the church). Saver was always involved in the feast preparations both inside the Lily Club and outside helping with street decorations. He is still a fervent member and is present on all occasions. He loves the feast of Our Lady of Lilies and still lands a help during the feast decorations preparations.
Saver is married to Mary nee Farrugia and has six children: Joseph, Jane, Connie, Peter, Doris and Victor, and he still lives in Mqabba.
Salvu Magro
Salvu is married to Tessie nee' Busuttil and has three children: Mario, Marco and Marcelle. Currently, he resides in Mosta and is still active in several organisations.
Joseph Tanti
Mr. Joseph Tanti was born in Mqabba on 7th August 1935, son of Geraldu and Liberata, nee Cassar. Over the years he has been directly involved as an active Committee member of the Lily Band Club and was also responsible for the club’s bar between 1978 and 1980. In 1961, Joseph presented a flag pennantrespresenting the emblem of Catholic Faith to be used by the Lily Band Club during band marches and other activities. Joseph,together with the late Joseph Farrugia, played a leading role in the structural refurbishment project in the late 1970s wherein the club premises were renovated and enlarged. Furthermore, he is presently assisting the team of volunteers entrusted with the restoration project of the Band Club external facade and other logistic facilities. Besides his past contribution towards the upkeep and maintenance of the Lily Band Club Fireworks Factory, Joseph is still keenly interested in the organisation of the feast of Our Lady of the Lilies, celebrated in the village of Mqabba during the month of June.
Joseph Tanti is married to M’Verginia nee Farrugia and Liberata is their only daughter.
